Short version: essential cookies keep the shop working and are always on. Anything optional only runs if you choose Accept all on our cookie banner. We never use advertising cookies or track you across other websites.
Your choice
The first time you visit, a banner asks you to Accept all or Reject all optional cookies. Both choices are equally easy, and rejecting doesn't stop you shopping, checking out or collecting your order. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. We ask again after 12 months.
We use one optional item, 3d4u.source.v1 (in the table below). With Reject all, or until you choose, nothing optional is saved.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Browser storage (sometimes called local storage) is similar, but the data stays on your device and isn't sent to us with every page. The law treats both the same way: a site may use them without asking only when they are strictly necessary for something you asked for.
What we use
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3d4u.basket.v1 | Browser storage | Remembers what's in your basket. Holds products and quantities only, nothing about you. | Until you check out or clear it |
| 3d4u.consent.v1 | Browser storage | Remembers whether you chose Accept all or Reject all, and when, so the banner doesn't keep asking. | 12 months |
| 3d4u.offer.v1 | Browser storage | Remembers that you closed the 20% off sign-up box or already signed up, so it stays small or hidden. Holds nothing about you. | Until you clear your browser data |
| 3d4u.source.v1 | Browser storage (optional) | Only with Accept all. If you arrived from one of our tagged links (in a newsletter, a post or on a flyer), remembers which one, and sends its name with your order so we know which promotion worked. Rejecting deletes it. | 30 days |
| 3d4u-order-session | Cookie | Set when you start checkout. Links your order to this device so you can see its status without an account. | 30 days |
| 3d4u_access | Cookie | Only if you log in to an account. Proves you are signed in so you can see your orders. | Up to 1 hour |
| 3d4u_refresh | Cookie | Only if you log in. Keeps you signed in between visits so you don't have to log in every hour. | 30 days, or until you log out |
| 3d4u_signed_in | Cookie | Only if you log in. A simple yes/no flag so the page header can show your account link. | 30 days, or until you log out |
| 3d4u_admin_access | Cookie | Keeps our own team signed in to the order admin. Customers never get this one. | Up to 1 hour |
All of these except 3d4u.source.v1 are essential, so they stay on whichever choice you make. None of them are shared with anyone else or used for advertising. Our fonts are served from our own site, so loading a page doesn't contact any font or advertising service.
Visit counting
We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics. It doesn't use cookies or browser storage, so it isn't in the table above and works the same whichever choice you make. Our privacy policy says what it records.
Other websites
When you pay, you move to SumUp's secure payment page, and SumUp may set its own cookies there under its own cookie policy. The "Open the map" link on our fair page opens Google Maps, which has its own policy too. Neither sets anything on our site.
Turning them off
You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you do, the basket will empty when you leave the page and you won't be able to check out or see your order status online. You can still email us at help@3d4u.site and collect from the fair as normal.
Changes
If we ever add anything optional, such as analytics cookies, we'll list it here and it will only run if you choose Accept all. For how we handle personal data generally, see our privacy policy.
