These terms apply when you pre-order from 3d4u.site. Please read them before you pay. Nothing here takes away your legal rights as a consumer.
Who you are buying from
- Trading name: 3D4U Prints
- Email: help@3d4u.site
- Postal address: c/o King's College School, Southside, Wimbledon Common, London SW19 4TT
Our products
Everything we sell is 3D printed by us, on our own printers. Because each piece is printed layer by layer, you may see fine layer lines and small differences in colour or finish from the photos. That is normal for 3D printing and is not a fault.
Some pieces are small or have small parts. They are not suitable for children under 3. Please supervise young children with them.
Prices and payment
- Prices are in pounds sterling and are the total you pay. Collection at the fair is free.
- You pay in full when you order, on SumUp's secure payment page. We never see your card details.
- If we've made an obvious mistake in a price, we'll contact you before making your order and you can choose to pay the correct price or get a full refund.
Discounts
Early bird
Online orders placed by 11:59pm on Sunday 15 November get 10% off automatically. It doesn't combine with a newsletter code: if you use a code, you get the code's 20% instead.
Newsletter codes
- When you sign up to our emails, we send you your own code for 20% off. One code per email address.
- Each code works once: on one online order (type it at checkout), or on one purchase at our table at the fair (show it before you pay). It can be used on anything we sell, including bundles.
- Codes are valid until the end of Saturday 28 November. They have no cash value, can't be added to an order after you've paid, and can't be swapped or transferred for money.
- If you cancel an order that used a code, we refund what you actually paid. The code isn't reissued.
- You can unsubscribe at any time and keep using an unused code.
When your order is confirmed
Our contract with you starts when your payment goes through and we email you an order confirmation with your order number. If we can't make your order (for example, if an item has sold out or a printer lets us down), we'll tell you as soon as we can and refund you in full.
Pre-order deadlines
Pre-orders open on Sunday 1 November and close on Wednesday 25 November at 8pm. Photo night lights close on Sunday 15 November and name pieces on Thursday 19 November, because they take longer to make.
Personalised items
- We print exactly what you type, so please check spelling and capitals before you pay. Email us straight away if you spot a mistake; we'll fix it if we haven't started printing.
- If you send us a photo, you confirm you have the right to use it and permission from anyone who appears in it.
- We can refuse text or photos that are offensive, or that use someone else's name, logo or artwork without permission. If we do, we'll refund you in full.
Collecting your order
Orders are collected from our table at the Friends of King's Christmas Fair, King's College School, Wimbledon, on Saturday 28 November, 11am to 4pm. Give us your name or order number. Someone else can collect for you if they have your order number.
Your order becomes yours, and your responsibility, once it is handed over. If you can't make it, email us before the fair and we'll arrange another way for you to get it or give you a full refund. If an order is not collected, we'll email you to sort it out.
Changing your mind
For most items you can cancel for any reason, without giving a reason, from when you order until 14 days after you collect. Just email us at help@3d4u.site with your order number.
- If you cancel before collection, we'll refund you in full.
- If you cancel after collection, please return the item to us within 14 days of telling us. You pay the cost of returning it, unless it is faulty.
- We refund within 14 days of getting the item back, to the card you paid with. If an item has been used or damaged beyond what you'd need to look at it, we may reduce the refund to reflect that.
Personalised items can't be returned for a change of mind
Items made to your own specification, such as name pieces and photo night lights, are made just for you, so the 14-day right to cancel doesn't apply once we have started making them. Your rights for faulty items below still apply in full.
If something is wrong
By law, everything you buy must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it isn't, tell us:
- within 30 days of collection, you can reject it for a full refund;
- after that, we'll repair or replace it, and if that doesn't work you can have a refund.
This applies to personalised items too. It doesn't cover normal wear, accidents or damage after collection. For more on your rights, see Citizens Advice.
Our responsibility to you
If we break these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result. We don't exclude or limit our responsibility where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Our products are for personal use; we aren't responsible for business losses.
Things outside our control
If something outside our control, such as illness, a power cut or the fair being cancelled, delays or stops us from making or handing over your order, we'll tell you as soon as we can. You can then choose to wait or cancel for a full refund.
Your data
We use your details only to make and hand over your order. See our privacy policy and cookies policy.
Complaints and the law
If you're unhappy, email us first and we'll do our best to put it right quickly. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place your order is the one that applies to it.
